Robinson and Associates International
(R&AI) helps organizations, communities and small towns that seem to have
lost hope develop partnerships through signature projects that begin the process
of creating positive change. Also, R&AI helps communities develop long-range
strategic plans for community and economic development.
Projects and clients in this area
follow:
- Created and served as leader
of the program that established RURAL PARTNERS®: The Illinois Private/Public
Sector Coalition for Community and Economic Development from 1988-1994 to
help rural communities prepare for economic development.
- Created and served as leader
of The Delta Partners Initiative, a seven year program (1994-2001) that
built partnerships in small communities that helped them create change in
leadership, community, and economic development.
- Created a customized educational
program on Organizational Management Skills for the National
Technical Center, U. S. Soil Conversation Service, Lincoln, Nebraska.
- Served as co-designer and
author of the curriculum for 11 National Rural Development Leadership
Schools that was sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture,
and implementing a State Leadership Development School sponsored
by the Department of Rural Development, State of South Carolina.
- Created and implemented a
customized program on Situational Diplomacy that was used world
wide for the Foreign Service Institute, U.S. Department of State (1978-1980).
- Served as founding director,
Center for Community and Economic Development, Delta State University, 1994-2000,
and helped secure outside funding in excess of $30,000,000 for the Centers
eight program areas.
- Developed and implemented
a customized educational program for the U.S. Forest Service on Interpersonal
Communications for Field Workers.
- Developed the curriculum at
Delta State University for the Master of Science Degree in Community Development
in 1995, one of the first in the nation; Helping to attract more than $1,000,000
of funding to support graduate fellowships and assistantships. More than
65 students have completed the MSCD at Delta State University.
